Where does this program exist within the history of computer graphics and the intersection of software and art? Artists were working in Labs since the 1960s to realize computer art. Engineers were experimenting with graphics since the late 1950s. What did the shift to "home" change? How is our perception of the 10 print image affected by its platform. Where does this platform exist within other visual media? I think these topics could be a section or could be divided into other sections. For instance, a part of this discussion could be embedded in the Random chapter. Axes for exploration: ''Place'' Labs > '''Homes/Studios''' ''Output Technology'' Oscilloscopes > Plotters > Film > '''CRT''' > LCD I think it would be most interesting to compare and contrast the approaches of Vera Molnar (artist > computer graphics) with Frieder Nake (mathematician > computer graphics) because they are on opposite ends of the line.
